The Pain We Choose To Keep With Us ✦ The Collective Message for The Lunar Eclipse & Month of March

Are you feeling the powerful energy from this morning’s Lunar Eclipse in Virgo?

A Lunar Eclipse is a supercharged Full Moon. The themes and issues that are coming up for you now will play out over the next six months. Since we will be dealing with this for such an extended period, I wanted to share with you a collective message I pulled last night, along with some journaling questions.

Collective message: (Take what resonates & leave what doesn’t)

It’s said that time heals all wounds, and yet it’s almost funny how much of the bad stays with us. Years can pass, nevertheless, a certain song still brings you to tears. A single word can send someone back decades and have them acting as if they were a child again. Tissues and bones may heal, but the memory of how we were injured still haunts our dreams.

It’s exhausting to carry all the past with us, yet holding onto our suffering serves as a protection. By keeping it close to our hearts, we’re reminded not to be so trusting, so foolish, so reckless.

In Tarot, The World is the final chapter in the story of the Major Arcana. Its pages tell of culmination and release. The Full Moon speaks of a similar energetic point in its cycle. During a Full Moon, we’re encouraged to tap into our feelings and memories as we let them go. But how can one let go of something when they believe it is keeping them safe?

This Lunar Eclipse bridges the axis between Virgo and Pisces, between cynicism and optimism, between agency and surrender. Where these two signs live in your birth chart will show you where you need to give yourself and others grace, (Virgo’s House) and where you could use a dose of earthly sensibility (Pisces’ House).

Journaling questions:

  1. What memories and the emotions tied to them came up as you looked at these tarot cards or read this collective message? How have replaying their stories protected you or kept you distrusting of others?
  2. Of the themes below, which has been the most difficult for you to deal with since February 11th (when Mercury entered its retrograde shadow period)? Is there any connection to what was happening in your life in March of last year?

Virgo themes: constant improvement or the need for perfection, the support we give and receive, analysis paralysis, the connection between mental and physical health, routine, structure, control

Pisces themes: spirituality, empathy, boundaries, overwhelm, compassion, going with the flow, trust, surrender

3. What are you ready to finally let go of?
